Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.
As educators, it is essential that we portray ourselves to be professionals. One of the ways that I hold myself to this standard is through professional dress. I ensure that each day I go into the schools I am dressed for success and wearing appropriate clothing for the activities taking place this day. This standard includes more than clothing. We are educators in and out of the building. We must act as professionals within the community even when we are not working. I believe that I display this through my mannerisms. Knowing that time and place is an essential piece of self-awareness in this field.
